Our gym is also home to the Rising Stars Gymnastics competitive team featuring gymnasts from Level 1 through Level 9. This exciting group of girls competes in USAG and AAU competitions throughout the state of Florida as well as out of state meets. Most recently, our team traveled to the 2009 AAU National Championships held in Savannah, GA. Congratulations to all of our team girls for a fantastic meet!

Outreach Programs

Rising Stars Gymnastics is excited to announce that we are now offering beginner level classes at 4 different outreach programs in addition to our main facility.  Students will learn the basics on all events.  Due to facility constraints, most of these programs offer less and smaller equipment than the main gym, but they are perfect for beginner level classes.

2009 Spring Recital/Showcase

May 2009 - Our 22nd annual spring recital/showcase was held on Saturday, May 9th at the Boca Raton Sugar Sand Park Fieldhouse.  Our recreational students showed off their skills and got goodie bags and trophies at the end.  The Girls Gymnastics Team of Rising Stars Gymnastics was also there and put on an exhibition and sold raffle tickets to raise money for the trip to Savannah, Georgia, for the AAU National Gymnastics Competition.   Thank you to everyone who participated and watched!!!

 

2009 AAU National Championships

July 2009 - Eighteen members of The Rising Stars Girls Competitive Gymnastics team levels 2 through 8 have returned from the 2009 AAU Gymnastics National Championship meet with 70 medals. We have eight gymnasts who won a combined 12 gold medals, including two All-Around National Champions.

The gold medalists were Haley Szabo on bars, floor and the All-Around; Dianna Sierra on beam and floor; Hannah Willmott on floor and the All-Around; Caroline Lord on vault; Taylor Bethmann and Lindsay Lord on bars; and Elizabeth Willmott and Ashley Grandovic on floor.

2009 Annual Team Awards Banquet

June 20, 2009 - Continuing in the annual tradition, the Rising Stars Gymnastics team had its awards banquet and exhibition on June 20,2009.  The members of the Rising Stars team performed their competitive routines or showed off new skills for parents and friends followed by food and the awards presentation.  Julie Willmott, head coach, presented individualized awards to each team member, preceded by a short speech praising the gymnast for her contribution and effort.   Every team member and coach left with a personalized trophy and a smile.

Important Note for Parents Night Out

Parent's Night Out for Friday and Saturday nights (3/12 and 3/13) has been cancelled for this week due to our Spring Spectacular 2010 Gymnastics meet being held at the gym this weekend. Parent's Night Out will resume next week on Saturday nights only.
